Worksheet
The gain maintenance plan worksheet consists of six columns:
- Understanding or Definition Problem: Clearly describe the problem, focusing on clearly identifiable behaviours.
- High Risk Situations: Record the times, places, etc, where the problem behaviour is most likely to occur.
- Coping Strategies: List helpful management strategies (often developed with your therapist) that target characteristics of high risk situations.
- Support Network: Note the individuals and/or groups you can rely upon to provide effective support to follow your gain maintenance plan.
- Maintenance Strategies: List your most important strategies to maintain general health and wellbeing, designed to reduce the need to engage in the problem behaviour.
- Emergency Plan: Note what you will do when you find yourself engaging in the problem behaviour.
